About the Founder
Ms. Brittany Jean was born and raised in New York City. As a Savvy New York City bred woman, Ms. Brittany started her professional career in 2012, as a Paraprofessional for students with special needs at an NYC public school. There she fell in love with teaching one-on-one and became certified in Picture Exchange Communication System, she became equipped with the skills to help non-verbal students with Autism begin the process of communicating through spoken language; while working as a full-time paraprofessional, she hustled her way through 3 years at CUNY Lehman College where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology. Brittany served 5 years as a Kindergarten Teacher at
Achievement First Bushwick Elementary school(AFBES), a school that gained a National Blue Ribbon title. During her time at AFBES, Brittany wore several other hats; Lead Grade-Level Phonics and Writing planner, Grade level chair, Teacher in Residence-Resident Advisor, Step Coach, and Graduate Student. Brittany received her Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University. Brittany has always been drawn to education, specifically getting students to learn in unique ways and tapping into the cognitive interests of students. In 2020, Brittany moved to South Florida and became a Home School Special Education travel teacher for students in Kindergarten and Second Grade! Brittany later opened the doors to B-Ready Academy in August 2021, and since then B-Ready Academy has been recognized as a thriving innovative program for children and she has been a recipient of the Vela Education Fund! Brittany's Goal is to continue to grow B-Ready Academy and ultimately help shape the future of education for all children.
