About the Founder
Brittany Jean was born and raised in New York City. As a Savvy New York City bred woman, Brittany started her professional career in 2012, as a Paraprofessional for students with special needs at an NYC public school. There she became certified in Picture Exchange Communication System became equipped with the skills to help non-verbal students with Autism begin the process of communicating through spoken language. While working as a full-time paraprofessional, she hustled her way through 3 years at Lehman College where she received her Bachelors of Arts in Speech and Language Pathology. Prior to
receiving her Bachelor's Degree, Brittany became a Kindergarten Teacher at Achievement First Bushwick Elementary school(AFBES). During her time at AFBES, Brittany wore many hats; Kindergarten teacher, Lead Grade-Level phonics and writing planner, Grade level chair, Teacher in Residence Resident Advisor, Step Coach, and Graduate Student. Brittany later received her Master's Degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University in 2019. Brittany has always been drawn to education, specifically getting students to learn in unique ways. Currently, Brittany is a Home School Special education and General education Teacher for students in Kindergarten and Second Grade!
